Terms of Use
- You must be 16 or older.
- Your photos and recipes stay yours. You let us show them to the people you choose.
- Be kind and keep it about food. We have zero tolerance for abusive or objectionable content.
- Report anything wrong. We review reports within 24 hours and remove what breaks the rules.
- Recipes and reviews come from members, not from us. Cook with care, especially with allergies.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Eva Lesto, who currently runs BoostCook (“BoostCook”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy. BoostCook is currently in beta: features may change, and things may occasionally not work as expected.
2. Who can use BoostCook
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You need one account per person, with accurate sign-up details. Don’t impersonate anyone.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post: photos, titles, recipes and comments. So that BoostCook can work, you give us a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence to store, resize and display your content to the people allowed by your visibility settings, only for running BoostCook. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account (except for copies kept in reports, as explained in our Privacy Policy).
Only post content you have the right to share. Photos of other people need their permission.
4. Community rules: zero tolerance
BoostCook is a friendly place to share food. You must not post or send anything that:
- bullies, harasses, threatens or intimidates anyone;
- is hateful or discriminatory (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic);
- contains nudity, sexual content, or graphic violence;
- promotes self-harm, eating disorders, illegal drugs or other dangerous activities, or gives dangerous food or health advice;
- is spam, a scam, misleading, or advertising without our permission;
- shares someone else’s private information;
- infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- is illegal, or tries to break, overload or misuse BoostCook (for example by scraping, hacking or automated accounts).
We act on reports within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, without notice for serious cases. You can report any post, comment or account from its … menu, and block anyone at any time.
5. Food, recipes and places
Recipes, photos and opinions about restaurants and shops are shared by members. We don’t check them. Always use your own judgement when cooking: check ingredients for allergies and intolerances, and follow good food hygiene. Reviews of places are personal opinions, not statements of fact by BoostCook.
6. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account). It is erased immediately. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it.
7. The service
BoostCook is free during the beta. We provide it “as is” and may change, pause or stop features. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for content posted by members, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
8. Changes to these terms
If we make important changes, we will tell you in the app before they apply. If you keep using BoostCook after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in the UK or the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims there.
